Who we are

These terms cover services provided by League of Extraordinary Detailing ("LXD", "we", "us"), a mobile vehicle detailing business operating in Auckland, New Zealand. Booking with us means you accept them.

Bookings and pricing

• Prices shown are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable. The price you are quoted at the time of booking is the price you pay.
• Vehicle size affects the price. If the vehicle presented is materially larger than the size booked, we will tell you the difference before starting and you can accept it or reschedule.
• Travel outside our standard service zone attracts a travel fee, shown before you pay.
• A deposit confirms your slot and is deducted from the final price. See our cancellation policy.

Access, water and power

We come to your home or workplace. You are responsible for making sure the vehicle is legally parked, accessible, and that we have a safe area to work in. Tell us at booking whether water and power are available — we can bring our own, we just need to plan for it.

Condition of the vehicle

• Please remove valuables and personal items before we start. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
• Pre-existing damage — chipped paint, cracked trim, worn clear coat, failing adhesive, existing stains — may become more visible once a vehicle is clean. We will point out anything we notice before starting, and we are not liable for pre-existing conditions.
• Some staining, odour and paint damage cannot be fully removed. Where we think that is likely, we will say so up front rather than after the fact.
• Excessive soiling — heavy pet hair, biological material, mould, sand through a whole interior — may take longer than the booked slot. We will discuss any additional charge with you before carrying on.

Coatings and protection

Protection periods quoted for coatings and sealants are typical expectations under normal use, not guarantees. Longevity depends on washing, storage, weather and road conditions. Care advice is provided with the work, and following it makes the difference.

Payment

Deposits and subscriptions are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. The balance is due on completion. Unpaid balances may be referred for collection, and reasonable recovery costs added.

Subscriptions

Recurring plans bill automatically on the cycle you chose, using the card on file. Visits are scheduled for you around your preferred day and time, subject to availability. You can pause, resume or cancel at any time from your account. See our cancellation policy for notice periods.

Liability

We carry out work with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

If you are not happy with the work, tell us within 48 hours and we will come back and put it right where we reasonably can.

Photography

We may photograph vehicles before and after work for quality records and, occasionally, for marketing. Number plates are obscured. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date you book.
